Vega Rosa’s products are inspired by traditional makers and artists: basket makers, spinners, hedge layers and growers, who tend, process and transform the materials growing in their landscape by hand.
Similarly, Vega Rosa’s floral work is from flowers, foliage and willow grown on a small holding in North Cornwall. Materials are cut, harvested and dried seasonally, using chemical free and peat free methods. All arrangements are hand-made using sustainable floristry techniques. The British Summer flower season (June to Sept) is extended from Valentine’s Day to Christmas using dried flowers, spring bulbs and evergreen foliage.
Grower and maker Nicky Gilmour is passionate about sustainable design and working creatively with the natural world and is happiest when working with the palette of colours, textures and forms that nature provides.
